Why They Enjoy Teaching Sunday School
Some of our Sunday School Teachers reply to the question, "Why do you enjoy teaching Sunday School?".
“One of the main reasons I love teaching Sunday School is getting to know some of the children from our Church. It’s so much fun to see their personalities and hear what they have to say. I also love to hear their sweet voices talking about our Bible Stories and singing about Jesus. “ Suzanne Washick, K2 Teacher
“I love teaching the K4 class because the children’s eager answers always remind me that “God” is the answer to every question!! Dale and Carol Jo Vervaet, K4 Teachers
“ I really enjoyed seeing the children at this age of development begin to ask questions and engage with the Bible stories. The three year olds are thinking, questioning, and dialoguing.” Liz Woodward, K3 Teacher
“Jeff and I teach K4 and we really enjoy getting to know the children over the year and watching how they grow and mature. What a blessing!” Jeff and Krissie Meadors, K4 Teachers
“ I LOVE teaching music to the K-4 and K-5 classes because they LOVE to sing and are always excited to learn new ways to worship Jesus through music!” Rebecca Griffith , K4/K5
Music Teacher
“I enjoy getting to teach my own child, it’s fun to see how
much he gets into the lesson (or doesn’t).
I also love it when the quiet one in class finally speaks up and you can
tell they’ve been listening and learning.
Elizabeth Lewis, K% Teacher
“I particularly enjoy hearing how much these kindergartners
already know about Jesus… it is very inspiring for me.” Gwinn Kneeland, K5 Teacher
“I help teach the 1st grade Sunday School class.
I really enjoy interacting with the children through fun activities that help
them understand who God is and what Jesus has done for us. If they haven’t learned much this year, I
know I have! God has taught me a lot through serving in this way.” Paige Carrick, 1st Grade Teacher
“I love sharing real life applications of the gospel with
the children. Life is hard and the world is not always kind. I like showing
them ways that Jesus can help us through that. And, it’s so exciting to hear
them get “it” and express Jesus’ love and faithfulness in their own words. I
also love praying with them and hearing about their prayer requests.”Ryan
Stewart, 2nd GradeTeacher
“Van and I love teaching Sunday School because it is so
wonderful to have the opportunity to share the Gospel message with children who
are often just understanding it for the first tinme in their lives. We see that
they are comprehending just what Jesus has done for them.” Van and Margaret
Pittman, 3rd Grade Teachers
“ I love teaching the 4th graders because they
are awesome, amazing, fabulous kids created in the image of God and watching
Him work through His word in their hearts is a blessing and seeing them
learning to pray and watching for God to answer is also an incredible thing.” LouCinda Jarratt, 4th Grade
Teacher
“Because it’s much more fun than adult Sunday School.” Rob Workman, 5th Grade Teacher
